8 Best AI Voice Agents for Salesforce in 2026, Compared Field by Field
Best AI voice agent for Salesforce in 2026? We compare 8 tools on caller lookup, Task write-back, custom fields, Flow triggers and editions, with Brilo's gaps included.

By Yatheendra, Founder, Brilo AI. Last checked against vendor documentation on October 29, 2026.
Short answer: Brilo AI is our top pick for the best AI voice agent for Salesforce in 2026. It pairs admin-only setup in about ten minutes, with no code and nothing installed in the org, with read and write access to any object, custom ones included, and the exact permission each action needs is documented. It also starts on a $149 self-serve plan, where several rivals put Salesforce behind an enterprise contract. Two situations call for something else. If you already pay for Service Cloud on Enterprise Edition and want everything native, look at Agentforce Voice. If you have developers and want Flow-triggered outbound calls today, look at Retell. We make Brilo, so we've listed its gaps as plainly as everyone else's.
Most "best voice agent" lists rank tools on voice quality and price per minute. Salesforce buyers care about something narrower. What does the agent know about the caller before it speaks? What can it look up mid-call? And what does an admin actually find on the record once the call ends?
That's what this list compares. Not demos. Fields.
How we compared each AI voice agent
An AI voice agent for Salesforce is software that answers or places phone calls, reads Salesforce records during the call, and writes the outcome back to those records without a human typing it in. We compared eight of them on six checks that decide whether that actually happens.
Pre-call lookup. A call comes in from a number stored on a Contact. Can the agent greet the caller by name before asking anything?
Mid-call query. The caller asks about an open case. Can the agent run a SOQL query or object search and answer from the result?
Task write-back. After the call, is a Task logged on the Contact with the call summary?
Custom field write. Can the agent write to a custom field, such as a
Call_Outcome__cpicklist, without the vendor's support team doing it for you?Flow support. Can a record-triggered Flow run off what the agent wrote, and can a Flow start an outbound call?
Minimum edition and plan. What's the cheapest Salesforce edition and vendor plan that makes all of this work?
This is a documentation review. We read each vendor's own Salesforce docs and pricing pages on October 29, 2026, and we haven't run a hands-on test of every tool. Where a vendor doesn't document a capability, the table says "not documented". That doesn't mean the tool can't do it. It means you should ask before you sign.

1. Brilo AI
Best for: most Salesforce teams, and especially those with an admin but no developer. Our top pick overall.
Brilo is our product, so here are the facts and the gaps side by side.
Why it's our top pick: it scores on every check that decides whether a pilot succeeds without engineering help. Setup is admin-only. Coverage reaches any object, not a fixed list. Permissions are documented per action, so you can give the agent exactly what it needs and nothing more. And the Salesforce connection starts on a $149 self-serve plan rather than an enterprise contract.
Brilo connects through an External Client App with the client credentials flow and a Run As integration user. Setup happens in Salesforce Setup and the Brilo App Store, nothing is installed in the org, and our docs put it at about ten minutes. Once connected, an agent can create and update Contacts, Leads, Accounts, Opportunities, Cases, Tasks, Events and Campaign members. It can search knowledge articles, post to Chatter and send email. It can also run generic Create, Update, Upsert, Get, SOQL Query, Search and Describe actions on any object, custom objects included. Call recordings can go to a Salesforce Files library.
Every action runs as the Run As user, so the agent can do exactly what that user can do and nothing more. Our docs list the permission each action needs, which is the part most vendors leave out. Delete actions stay off until support enables them for a named agent.
Where it falls short:
The Salesforce connection needs Brilo's Pro plan ($149 a month, 600 minutes included) or above. Free and Starter don't include the App Store.
One Salesforce org per workspace.
No AppExchange listing and no packaged Flow action yet.
Your org needs API access. Our docs say Enterprise and above are fine.
HIPAA support is on Custom plans only, which matters if you run Health Cloud.
See what lands on the record on our AI voice agent for Salesforce page, or follow the step-by-step guide to connecting an AI voice agent to Salesforce.
2. Retell AI
Best for: teams with developers who want to build their own Salesforce logic and need Flow-triggered outbound calls today.
Retell connects through a Salesforce External Client App, using the OAuth client credentials flow and a Run As user. That's the pattern Salesforce now recommends for server-to-server integrations. Its docs cover lookups and record management on Contacts, Leads, Accounts, Opportunities, Cases and custom objects, plus Task and Note creation and free-form SOQL. Calls land on the Contact's activity timeline as a Task with a summary and duration, and Retell also runs a two-way contact sync.
The standout is Flow. Retell ships a managed AppExchange package with a "Start Retell Outbound Call" Flow action, so a record-triggered Flow can place a call with no middleware in between. That's Retell's clearest advantage over the rest of this list.
One thing worth correcting: Salesforce's own "Best AI Voice Agents" page says Retell's CRM orchestration "must be built separately". Retell's native connector now covers it.
Where it falls short: Retell is a builder platform. Prompts, tool timeouts and field mapping are yours to design. Its own guide warns that SOQL needs exact string matches and that a missing field permission can stop a sync without an error. Budget developer time.
Weighing other options? See our Retell AI alternatives.
3. Agentforce Voice
Best for: organisations already running Service Cloud on Enterprise or above that want one vendor.
Agentforce Voice is Salesforce's own voice agent. Because it runs inside the platform, records, Flows, Omni-Channel routing and handoff to a human rep are native, and there's no integration user to configure.
Cost is the catch. Each Agentforce Voice action uses 30 Flex Credits in production, and Flex Credits list at $500 per 100,000, so one action costs $0.15. Salesforce's own worked example (identify the customer, answer from knowledge, get time slots, confirm the booking) uses 4 actions. That's about $0.60 per call, or $180 for 300 calls a month. It excludes the telephony licence: Salesforce Voice with partner telephony lists at $50 per user per month, and Contact Center editions start at $125 per user per month. Some contracts bill Agentforce Voice by the minute instead of per action.
Where it falls short: licence prerequisites plus per-action metering make it expensive on a small, high-volume line, and it isn't built for teams on Professional Edition. We scored it from Salesforce's documentation rather than a live deployment.
We break down the maths in Agentforce Voice pricing and alternatives.
Did you know?
Salesforce has kept Open CTI, the API most softphones use inside Salesforce, in maintenance mode since 2020, and it reaches end of life on February 28, 2028. An AI voice agent that connects over the standard API isn't affected, but a phone system that relies on Open CTI is. Our Salesforce Open CTI retirement explainer covers the dates.
4. ElevenLabs Agents
Best for: teams that prioritise voice quality and mostly need search and record creation.
ElevenLabs now has a native Salesforce integration built on an External Client App with the client credentials flow. Its tools search records, pull full record details and create Leads, Contacts and Opportunities mid-call. A Case Comment trigger lets an agent respond to case updates by email.
Two cautions. The setup guide asks for the full OAuth scope and suggests a System Administrator profile for the Run As user, which is broader than most admins will accept. And older ElevenLabs content still teaches a Pipedream workflow with a security token, written in December 2024, so make sure your team follows the current docs.
Where it falls short: documented actions centre on search and create. Task logging and custom-field updates weren't clearly documented when we checked.
5. Synthflow
Best for: enterprise teams that want Flow-triggered outbound calls.
Synthflow installs a Salesforce app per org and gives you an Apex "Make a Call" action inside a record-triggered Flow, so a new Contact with a given Lead Source can trigger a call. Custom actions can point at production and sandbox connections separately, which is good practice.
Where it falls short: the Salesforce app requires a Synthflow Enterprise plan. Synthflow has also changed its connection method, and workspaces must reconnect by November 30, 2026, or Salesforce custom actions stop working. Write-back is assembled from custom actions rather than prebuilt Task logging.
6. Bland AI
Best for: large organisations that want vendor engineers to build the integration with them.
Bland connects over OAuth to a sandbox or production org. It writes Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Cases, Tasks and Events, supports custom fields and custom SOQL, and uses post-call webhooks to trigger downstream automation. Its forward-deployed engineers scope the field mapping with you, and Bland quotes 30 days to go live for enterprise deployments.
Where it falls short: it's sold as a contracted enterprise engagement. If you want to self-serve a pilot this week, it's the wrong shape.
7. Natterbox
Best for: teams replacing their phone system as well as adding an agent.
Natterbox is a Salesforce-native phone system that now sells AI agents acting on Salesforce records across voice, SMS and WhatsApp. If you're replacing telephony anyway, particularly ahead of the Open CTI retirement, buying the phone system and the agent together can make sense.
Where it falls short: you're buying a phone system. If your carrier and numbers are fine and you only need an agent in front of them, it's more change than you need. Pricing is by quote.
8. Aircall AI Voice Agent
Best for: sales and support teams already on Aircall.
Aircall's Salesforce app logs calls and AI insights (summaries, transcripts and sentiment) to Salesforce records, and Aircall has announced a native voice AI integration with Salesforce. If your reps already use Aircall, adding its AI Voice Agent keeps everything with one vendor.
Where it falls short: it suits existing Aircall customers. Mid-call Salesforce lookups and custom-field writes by the AI agent weren't clearly documented when we checked.
See Aircall alternatives.
Why Vapi didn't make the list
Vapi has no native Salesforce connector. Its docs point you to function tools or API request tools that call your own middleware, or to Zapier, Make and Pipedream. That works, but you're building the integration yourself, so it doesn't meet this list's bar. See Vapi alternatives.
Which conversational AI platforms have a native Salesforce integration?
As of October 2026, five independent conversational AI platforms document their own Salesforce connector: Brilo AI, Retell AI, ElevenLabs, Synthflow and Bland AI. Agentforce Voice is built into Salesforce itself. Natterbox runs as Salesforce-native telephony, and Aircall connects through its own Salesforce app. Vapi reaches Salesforce only through middleware such as Zapier, Make, Pipedream or custom API tools.
"Native" covers a lot of ground, though. Brilo, Retell and ElevenLabs use a Salesforce External Client App with the OAuth client credentials flow and a dedicated Run As user, which keeps passwords out of the setup. Synthflow installs an app in each org. Bland uses OAuth with engineers scoping the mapping. Ask any vendor which pattern it uses, because that decides who can set it up and what the agent is allowed to touch.
Common mistakes that break a Salesforce voice agent
The failures that cost the most time don't show up in a demo. They show up on the first real call.
Running the agent as a person's login. When that employee leaves and their user is frozen, the agent stops working on the next call. Use a dedicated integration user.
Granting System Administrator "to be safe". The agent can then do anything an admin can. Give it only the object and field permissions its actions need.
Forgetting field-level security. An action runs, but a field comes back blank or won't save. The Run As user can see the object but not that field.
Phone numbers in mixed formats.
(415) 555-0123and+14155550123are different strings to an exact-match query, so the agent fails to greet a caller it should know.A restricted picklist rejecting the agent's value. If
Call_Outcome__cdoesn't include the exact value the agent writes, the update fails. No Edit Tasks permission. Without it, calls aren't logged at all.
How to choose the best AI voice agent for Salesforce
Start with who will own it after launch, not with the voice demo.
Our recommendation for most teams: Brilo. If a Salesforce admin will own the agent, you want it reading and writing any object without code, and you'd rather start on a self-serve plan than an enterprise contract, start with Brilo.
Other tools fit narrower situations:
You run Service Cloud on Enterprise or above and want one vendor: Agentforce Voice.
You have developers and need Flow-triggered outbound calls today: Retell.
You need a contracted enterprise rollout with vendor engineers: Bland.
You're replacing your phone system too: Natterbox, or Aircall if your reps already use it.
Pro tips before you sign:
Run the six checks above in a sandbox, with your own phone number on a test Contact.
Ask each vendor which OAuth scope and profile its Run As user needs. Narrower is better.
Ask whether a Flow can start a call, and whether the vendor fires Flows itself or relies on the records it writes.
Check the minimum plan. Several tools on this list put Salesforce behind an enterprise tier.
The best AI voice agent for Salesforce is the one your team can run safely after the vendor's onboarding call ends. For most teams, that's Brilo. See how Brilo works with Salesforce or connect it in about ten minutes.
Preguntas frecuentes
What is the best AI voice agent for Salesforce?
Brilo AI is our top pick for most teams. An admin can connect it in about ten minutes without code, and it can read and write any object, custom ones included. Agentforce Voice suits Service Cloud orgs on Enterprise that want everything native, and Retell suits developer-led teams that need Flow-triggered outbound calls.
Which AI voice agents have a native Salesforce integration?
Brilo, Retell, ElevenLabs, Synthflow and Bland have their own Salesforce connectors, and Agentforce Voice is built into Salesforce. Vapi connects through middleware such as Zapier, Make or your own API.
Do I need a developer to connect an AI voice agent to Salesforce?
Not for Brilo, Retell or ElevenLabs. A Salesforce admin creates an External Client App and an integration user, which takes about ten minutes. Custom SOQL and Flow-triggered calls are easier with a developer.
Which Salesforce edition do I need for an AI voice agent?
You need an edition with API access. Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance and Developer include it. Professional needs the paid API add-on, and Essentials and Starter have no API access.
How much does Agentforce Voice cost per call?
Each voice action costs 30 Flex Credits, or $0.15 at list price. Salesforce's 4-action example works out to about $0.60 per call, before Salesforce Voice or Contact Center licences.
Can an AI voice agent log calls as Tasks in Salesforce?
Yes. Brilo, Retell and Bland document creating Tasks after a call. Make sure the integration user has the Edit Tasks permission, or calls won't be logged.
Will the Open CTI retirement affect my AI voice agent?
Not if the agent connects through the Salesforce API with an External Client App. Open CTI affects softphones and call center adapters that run inside the Salesforce console.
